Lorraine Mihaliak joins the Chesterton team as music teacher with a background in music performance, education, and church ministry. A dedicated advocate for young musicians, Lorraine has founded children’s choirs and school‑wide music programs in Connecticut and Indiana and has instructed students of all ages in music theory and history, piano, organ, voice, and composition.

As a conductor, organist, and collaborative artist, Lorraine focuses on cross-disciplinary performance and large-scale choral projects that connect early music with contemporary styles. Her work includes productions recognized by Opera America® and international touring and recording with multi-time Grammy Award® winning artists. Her musical travels have brought her to Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, and most recently to record The Notre Dame Folk Choir’s “The Passion” in the Holy Land. 

Lorraine began her musical career as Organ Scholar at the Cathedral of St. Joseph (Hartford, CT) and trained extensively at conservatories across the US including Oberlin Conservatory, OH, Curtis Institute of Music, PA, Eastman School of Music, NY, and Hartt School of Music, CT. She attended College of the Holy Cross, MA as the Organ Scholar, graduating in 2019 with a BA in music. She received her Masters in Sacred Music and Choral Conducting from the University of Notre Dame, IN in 2021 as part of the Alice A. Martin Fellowship.
