Get to know Allison Blaski
Art
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Allison Blaski will be teaching art history and studio art at Chesterton Academy this year. Her experience and interests center especially on calligraphy and drawing, and she is excited to share her love for these art forms with her students and to help them develop both the technical skills and creative habits necessary to become artists themselves. She brings a longstanding love of art history to the classroom, cultivated through years of living abroad and traveling throughout Europe where she has had the opportunity to encounter many of the great works of Western art firsthand. Together with her husband, Dr. Blaski, Allison is raising her six children to love and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation and the human creativity that seeks to reflect it.
G.K. Chesterton himself attended art school for several years. It should be of great encouragement to our burgeoning artists that their patron was so devoted to beauty, in addition to truth and goodness!
